Raised in the Wiregrass region, Donna Hendrix, managing member and administrator of DaySpring Hospice, hoped to aplish two things with her agency. First she wanted to create a “home-grown” agency that would elevate the standards of hospice care for families in the region, and second, she wanted to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients with a caring, compassionate attitude. Donna’s goal has been to treat patients and their families as part of her family. This, along with high levels of patient and family satisfaction and our interdisciplinary team approach distinguishes DaySpring Hospice among Wiregrass hospice providers. Since 2003, the DaySpring team has been committed to providing exceptional training, counseling, and hands-on care in the Wiregrass, around the clock, 365 days a year.

We strive to exceed the expectations of our patients and their families as we meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. DaySpring is Medicare/Medicaid certified and patients who meet the criteria for hospice qualify regardless of race, religion, sex, age, or financial resources. Our hospice team is physician-directed and nurse-coordinated, and implements an interdisciplinary team approach to personal care. Our licensed staff members are specifically trained in pain and symptom management and counseling with a caring, compassionate attitude.
