Brookdale Catalina Foothills underwent a major renovation recently and has been consistently maintained over the years. It’s beautifully appointed and spacious, offering 78 studio, one-bedroom, one-bedroom deluxe and two-bedroom units for our assisted living residents. Units range from 300 to 700 square feet. All apartments include a kitchenette with a microwave, sink, small refrigerator/freezer, a private bathroom with a walk-in no-lip shower and built-in shower chair, large windows that flood the units with light, and wall-to-wall carpeting in the bedroom and living areas. In addition, residents are given an emergency call pendant to wear and all apartments include a built-in emergency call system in the bathroom. Small pets are wee in our community, for as long as the resident is able to care for them.

Residents also have access to several common areas, including multiple cafes. Our lovely library offers Internet access and a book magnifying system. Our community center is an all-in-one space for our exercise programs, movie nights and social gatherings. Brookdale Catalina Foothills also has its own beauty salon/barber shop, arts and crafts room, a wellness center, and laundry facilities. Our community also features a wonderful outdoor area; with a covered veranda, barbecue area, covered walk ways and a fully furnished patio.

Located on the first floor, our Memory Care Neighborhood is smaller – just 18 studio apartments, each with a private bath and shower. Like our assisted living community, Memory Care residents also have access to several common areas, where they spend most of their days. These include a spacious living room, family room, full dining room and secured outside courtyard with walking paths.

Strong, Caring Professional Relationships

Outside health-care providers are welcomed into our community to provide services right here, on site, for the convenience of our residents. These include home health providers, as well as occupational, physical and speech therapists. We can make recommendations to trusted providers, but it’s always up to the resident and his or her family to choose whomever they’d like to work. Depending upon the needs of the residents, services are offered in our common areas, in our exercise rooms or in the resident’s private apartment.

In addition, we have a close relationship with a major pharmacy in Phoenix. We also offer the services of a podiatrist, who visits our community regularly – a terrific convenience, especially for those of our residents who have diabetes.

Residents are also welcome to use any Hospice provider in the area should they require end-of-life or palliative care. As necessary, we can work with the families to help facilitate this service.

Our caring and dedicated staff are a special group of people – patient, understanding and compassionate – who have the best interests of our residents in their hearts and minds. If you were to walk around our community, you might find our staff spending time keeping residents company, engaging them in conversation, taking them to activities or asking them what they can do to make their day the best it can be.
