Brookdale Mandarin, formerly Emeritus at Mandarin, is among the premier Jacksonville, FL assisted living facilities. Ourmunity is centrally located to the beach, shopping, the St. John’s river, and to many local attractions. We are within walking distance to shopping, banking, and churches. A Wonderful Selection
Brookdale Mandarin is a big retirement community with a small town atmosphere. We offer 3 senior apartment styles with each offering full kitchens. We offer studios, one bedrooms, and two bedrooms two baths; the community offers some of the largest apartments in senior housing.
Brookdale Mandarin is four stories with 149 senior apartments. It is a large community with a small-town feel. Each floor boasts an activity room and a view of our atrium. One of the best features of the building is our large pool and deck – perfect for hot days.

We nurture strong relationships with area hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers. Through the communications and relationships that we share with key staff within these affiliations, we provide seamless continuum of care for our residents.

At Brookdale Mandarin we value our resident’s opinions and we rely on their feedback to help create our daily, weekly, and monthly activities. Everyday is filled with many choices in social, physical, mental, spiritual, cultural and creative activities. Residents enjoy a variety of live entertainment and outdoor excursions, all with the security of knowing care is available if they need it. Residents can also enjoy many activities around our pool. Brookdale Mandarin offers a full calendar of events including entertainers, day trips, social gatherings, arts, crafts, games, and many other resident inspired programs.
Partnering with the Local Community
Brookdale Mandarin is part of the Jacksonville community; hosting monthly events for the public, as well as attending events throughout Jacksonville. We host many public events for educating seniors and the general public on senior heath topics. One of our events that we are very proud of is our Labor Day picnic that we open up to the general public showing our appreciation for all of those in the community.
As an Brookdale community, Mandarin participates in many local events helping bringing awareness to the local community. We are highly involved in the Alzheimer’s foundation as well as other foundations dealing with diseases affecting seniors.
