Brookdale Paddock Hills, formerly Emeritus At Ocala East, is among the premier Ocala, FL assisted livingmunities for seniors. Located in the heart of Ocala near hospitals, doctors and skilled rehabilitation centers; our canopy of oaks provides a country atmosphere in the middle of town. We are close to the University of Florida, where the butterfly exhibit and Shands Hospital are available.
A Wonderful Selection
Brookdale Paddock Hills has a down-home atmosphere, with meals from scratch and family-involved events. Our apartments are two sizes of studios. Some of our residents enjoy the company of a roommate, which promotes friendships among our residents. Our rooms are set up much like a cruise ship, bathroom on one side as you enter and closet on the other. All rooms have their own temperature control and call system.
Our community of 99 senior apartments is noted for our “aging in place” policy, where residents never have to move again. When their health begins to decline, we can add services so they do not have to be relocated to another apartment or area. Our commitment to our residents is like none other.
Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
We have strong relationships with the local rehabilitation centers, hospitals and skilled nursing centers. We are often called on as a resource to help with placement. Our commitment is to be sure everyone is safely somewhere, even if not in our community.

At Brookdale Paddock Hills, we value our residents’ and their families’ suggestions on planned activities. We make sure our residents’ families feel included in all of our activities as they are a part of our family as well. We take care in planning our activities to enrich our residents’ social, mental, physical, and spiritual lives. At Brookdale Paddock Hills, we take pride in our seasonal parties with live entertainment and planned activities, and yet we offer the security of knowing care is there if needed. We provide a wide range of activities from bingo to exercise. We have several different church services though out the week. Our seasonal parties are not to be out-done and include the Ocala community-at-large.
Partnering with the Local Community
Brookdale Paddock Hills takes great pride in hosting monthly Alzheimer’s support groups, guardianship groups, and a variety of events that include the surrounding community. Our doors are open to all in the area during our events.
We work with the local Alzheimer’s and Guardian groups. We host a “spa night out” for our area health care professionals. It helps educate them in the differences between assisted living and nursing home care. This event introduces healthcare providers to our residents and staff and a chance to come into our home.
