At Golden LivingCenter – Rome, we consider ourselves the provider of choice for our area and we take pride in the individualized, quality care that we provide. We are a skilled nursing facility located in Rome, Ga., just one mile from Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Our primary focus is short-term care and ourmitted staff helps create a smooth transition from care back home for our clients. We also offer physical, speech and occupational therapy and long-term care.

At Golden LivingCenter – Rome, have a large rehab gym with state-of-the-art equipment. In partnership with Aegis Therapies, we offer Geriatric Enhanced Modalities (GEM), which are therapy protocols designed specifically for the health conditions common to older adults. These patients enjoy better mobility, less pain, greater joint flexibility, faster recovery, earlier discharge from therapy and an enhanced quality of life. GEM uses ultrasound, diathermy and electrical stimulation for a variety of treatments including stroke recovery, continence management, joint replacement therapy, wound care and osteoarthritis care.

Residents at Golden LivingCenter - Rome may enjoy many onsite activities, including spiritual services and bingo, as well as group outings.

We are proud to be 2011 recipients of the Georgia Health Care Association (GHCA) Quality Award. GHCA strives to enhance the ability of their members to provide competent and compassionate care to meet the ever-changing health care needs of Georgia's infirm, elderly and disabled citizens.

We also received the 2009 American Health Care Association (AHCA) / National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) Silver "goldenlivingcenters.com/careers/awards-recognition/AHCA-Quality-Award/2009-National-Quality-Awards.aspx">Quality Award. This award recognizes facilities that demonstrate a strong commitment to the principles of continuous improvement by delivering ever-improving value to residents and other customers, improving overall organizational effectiveness and capabilities, and serving as a champion for organizational and personal learning.

Our recent renovations to the front lobby, conference room, front offices, reception and beauty salon brought a clean, contemporary feel to our building. More renovations are underway in 2012.
