A Wonderful Selection

Emeritus at Ridge Wind is aesthetically pleasing both inside and out. When you drive into our spacious and convenient parking lot, you can see the beautiful and picturesque landscaping. When you step through our double doors, the sensation continues with an almost majestic open area where our residents enjoy gathering and visiting. There are marble pillars that surround the dining room just to the left of the entrance area and offices to the right. The building is one level, which is ideal for our senior residence, many of whom do not have the mobility that they had when they were younger. There are three halls that house our apartments. We have three choices of apartment styles. A Studio is perfect for a single person to occupy. The Alcove is best described by saying it is L shaped. This allows for separate areas for the bedroom and the living room. It is ideal for either a single resident, a couple, or two friends (large enough for two beds). Our third style is a one-bedroom. This room has a wall that separates the living room from the bedroom. All our rooms have private bathrooms and showers. Our community has beautiful courtyards located in several different places throughout the building where residents and their families can enjoy the nice weather or a BBQ. We have a billiard table that attracts those that love the game of pool, a hair salon for both men and women, and a garden where vegetables are planted and enjoyed in the warm summer months. We have been told many times that our community is warm and inviting. It is first and foremost a home.

Emeritus at Ridge Wind is well known and has a good reputation for excellent staff and care by other healthcare professionals in our area. We are well-known known to the skilled nursing facilities, home health and hospice agencies, and the majority of physicians in S.E. Idaho. Not only do they know us but they trust us to refer their clients to us on a regular basis. They know that when they refer someone to us that they either need to discharge from their care or find continuous care for, they can trust that we will carry out either the same or even better care than they were able to give. Many professionals who visit our community give us comments like, “I will send my parent here when the time comes for them to have assisted with daily life,” or “I did not realize what a wonderful operation you are running here.”

Our Staff

We have a dedicated, kind, compassionate, and hard working staff. Each person that is hired undergoes screening and training to ensure that they are the right fit for our team. We live and work with the Brookdale Family Values. We honor our residents and they are loved. When people come to work at Emeritus at Ridge Wind, they often end up staying with us for years. If one of our care staff does take a leave because of personal issues, like the birth of a baby or continued education, they often end up returning to work with us again. Potential residents should know that we have the very best people that we can find working for us here at Emeritus at Ridge Wind. They take their careers seriously and work above and beyond what is expected.
