County Nursing Homes Help People in Need
LaSalle County Nursing provides wonderful care. I have had several relatives return home after receiving super care and physical therapy. They were pleased with the place. The staff in all departments are professional and compassionate. This land has been used by the county in the service of helping others for over 100 years. In 1874 that the Lasalle County Poor Farm was established at this site. People who lived there also worked on the land, cared for animals, worked in the dairy and other operations of the home. My research shows that the state of Illinois began helping the poor as early as 1819. I am kind of a local history buff. Anyway,This concern for others continues with the county nursing home which was built in 1966. Many positive changes have been made in the past two years. There is a friendly atmosphere with a highly ranked hospital in nearby Ottawa. It is worth a visit to check it out. The people of this county should be commended & praised for supporting a county home! When a person outlives their savings and is accepted on public aid help, some nursing homes have put a limit on the number of Medicaid people they accept, unfortunately, as payments are often months late and, well it makes it hard to survive. Having a quality nursing home for people, regardless of payer source or profit is essential & respectful of those who seeking care. I believe it is a quality home focusing on helping people achieve their best health.
