Walnut Manor Nursing Home was built on a dream - a dream in which a group of local businessmen andmunity members could build a long-term care facility for families wanting to keep their loved ones close, even when care needs changed or became more complex. In July of 1973, Walnut opened and accepted its first residents. Walnut Manor received their Skilled license in October of 2003 and Medicare Certification in June of 2004.

"Those that have come from another facility are amazed at the differences," says Administrator Dennis Grobe. "We have a reputation for delivering quality care. We don't hire outside agency staff for our day-to-day operations. Our professional, caring staff not only lives in the local community, but often shares pre-existing ties with our residents and their families. Families appreciate how much we genuinely care about their loved ones."

Being at home is best. However, sometimes another option is needed for short or long-term care. Our team at Walnut Manor has earned a solid reputation for consistently providing exceptional care with the added convenience of being close to home. Our families also appreciate the all-inclusive room rate - no added charges for items such as special diets, incontinence, or wheelchairs. Our facility also features a Medicare/Medicaid program, respite care, hospice care through Rock River and Spring Valley Hospices, and physical, occupational, and speech therapies through Select Rehab.
