Brookdale Granger, formerly Emeritus of Arborwood, provides assisted living in Granger, Indiana for seniors.  Conveniently located at the point of Cleveland Road and State Road 23, we are just across from Martin’s Super Marketplex. Arborwood is in well-landscaped property in the middle of Granger near the University Park Mall.

Brookdale Granger is located in a quiet but active community. We are ten minutes from the toll road and the University of Notre Dame. Arborwood is at the crossroads of a preferred community near South Bend, Mishawaka, Elkhart, in Granger Indiana and just minutes from the Michigan line.

Brookdale Granger is a one-story community with pleasing views in each direction. Recently refreshed with new colors and amenities, Arborwood offers studio and one-bedroom apartments. Thirty-eight apartments are available in assisted living while nineteen are available in our memory care neighborhood.

Brookdale Granger provides assisted living for 54 senior apartments. Each apartment is climate controlled room-to-room with bay windows showing a wonderful rural setting. Arborwood also provides an extra large activity game room with kitchen and large screen television lounge. Across the hall is the exercise room and therapy department. The main dining room features wall-to-wall windows in a country setting. A fireplace warms the room and a modern flat screen television enhances the fireplace wall. Enrichment stations are provided throughout the community with soft drink machines, juices, snacks and fruit bowls. The entryway provides a comfortable place for reading or to enjoy the stream of visitors that share time in our home.

Brookdale Granger is in close proximity to and works together with St Joseph Regional Hospital, Memorial Hospital of South Bend and Elkhart General Hospital. Our staff and managers have several affiliations including the Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association, Juvenile Diabetes Associatio, and others. These affiliations provide us continuity of care, education and a smooth transition for our residents and families in providing optimal assisted living care and services.

Our Staff

The Brookdale Granger staffing is the key ingredient to our quality of care. We fully believe in sharing our experiences and enjoy learning from the experiences of others. In a constantly changing healthcare arena, education remains key to managing change. Arborwood has RNs, LPNs and CNAs as part of the nursing staff. Our memory care neighborhood has a director as well as life enrichment, dining services, maintenance, housekeeping, business office, marketing, quality services and administration. A highly experienced regional team for each discipline supports the community team.
