Hoeger House in Olathe, Kansas, is a short-term rehabilitation and therapy center that helps people recover after being hospitalized for surgery, an illness or an accident. Our program accepts individuals seven days a week.Our program includes physical, occupational and speech therapies, as well as 24-hour skilled care. Our approach to training and conditioning ensures your physical, emotional and spiritual needs are met. Private rooms and amenities enhance yourfort and speed your recovery so that you’ll be able to return home and live as safely as possible.

Short-term and respite care stays are ideal for seniors in transition from surgery to home or who are receiving therapy services but would like more daily assistance. Perhaps a caregiver needs some time away, or it is simply a trial run before making the decision to come live with us.

Level One Services

• Light housekeeping
• Three meals daily, plus snacks
• Special diets (low sodium, no sugar added)
• Scheduled transportation to Olathe doctor’s appointments
• Initial and periodic assessments
• Planned social, recreational and religious activities
• 24-hour trained staff
• Paid utilities including telephone (local calls)
• Basic cable television
• Emergency alert system
• Assistance with two showers or whirlpool bath weekly
• Assistance with dressing and grooming as needed
• Medication monitoring (resident manages and self-administers own medications)
• Personal laundry (two loads, one time per week)

Level Two Services (includes Level One Services plus):

• Bedtime assistance (as needed)
• Assistance with social activities (as needed)
• Basic medication administration (oral and topical only, injections not included) or assistance with self-administration

Level Three Services (includes Level One and Two services plus):

• One-person assistance with transfers to and from wheelchair, whirlpool shower or toilet
• Assistance with incontinence care (supplies not included)
• Shower or bathing assistance (four times per week)
• Escort to dining and activities as needed

Level Four Services (includes Level One, Two and Three Services plus):

• Two-person assistance with transfers
• Incontinence care (supplies not included)
• Medication administration including injections
• Therapeutic diets
• Tube feeding
• Wound vac care
