Brookdale Cape Cod, formerly Emeritus at Cape Cod, is among the premier Cape Cod Assisted Living Facilities. Located in the city of Hyannis on Cape Cod, ourmunity also provides Alzheimer’s care and offers 80 senior apartments on two floors. Our community is five minutes from the Cape Cod Mall, Cape Cod Hospital and the hub of many of Cape Cod’s best physicians. Our community is also just down the road from the Barnstable Municipal Airport and Lewis Bay which is the harbor gateway to beautiful Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard.
A Wonderful Selection
Our assisted living and memory care community offers a range of apartment styles and layouts including shared suites, studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. All assisted living apartments come cable and internet ready and include kitchenettes and spacious bathrooms with walk-in showers with built-in seat. Residents are always comfortable with individually controlled thermostats. You will find our community to be luxuriously grand with touches of Cape Cod casual elegance.
Our cozy community rooms including our lovely dining room, TV room and library with warm wood detailing give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities each month including exercise programs and off-site excursions. The ideal retirement escape, Brookdale Cape Cod is centrally located to all that Hyannis has to offer like wonderful Craigville, Kalmus, Dawes and Veterans beaches, the Cape Cod Mall, local attractions and museums and many restaurants. Cape Cod Hospital and a nursing home rehabilitation facility are also right here in the neighborhood if ever needed.
Our Staff
Staff longevity is something we take pride in at our community and is a direct result of practicing Brookdale’s seven core family values. Many staff members have been with us for upwards of five years and several senior staff members have been employed since the doors opened over 13 years ago.
A Wonderful, Active Lifestyle
There is always something going on at Brookdale Cape Cod. Social and cultural activities abound. Favorites include concerts, painting classes, crafting, live drama and group games like Jeopardy and Word on Word. Watch us load the bus for trips to experience all that Cape Cod has to offer including beaches, restaurants and the Cape Cod Symphony. Our Life Enrichment Director has over 15 years of experience and she keeps our residents active and on the move.
Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community
Our assisted living and memory care community is committed to participating in and supporting our larger Cape Cod community. Each spring we raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association and take part in the Miles of Memories walk. Our residents have an ongoing partnership with the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and each December residents and staff join together to buy clothes and toys for needy children through the Salvation Army’s “Dress a Live Doll” campaign. In our lobby, we have a daily opportunity to contribute to the Cape Cod Needy Fund by asking for folks’ “Loose Change for Charity.” At the end of the year all the coins are totaled up and donated to this important cause.
