This carousel was manufactured in 1896 by a man named Gustav Dentzel for the 1904 St. Louis Exposition. The carousel was later sold to the city of Meridian where it’s cared for and maintained. It’s a fun piece of history with an interesting story behind it; it’s not every day you get to see a carousel made in 1896.
If golfing is more of your thing, than you will have plenty of courses to attempt to conquer. The Briarwood Golf Course is one of the highest rated courses in the region that has long and hilly courses which will challenge even the most hardened of veterans. The course even has a signature hole, number 14, which is a par 4 that requires a strong swing, yet delicate precision.
