The St. Francis Cardiac Surgery Program has been ranked #1 by th e State of New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.These results were published in May in the Healthcare Quality Assessment report 2007 for risk-adjusted mortality. The report contains an analysis of data collected on all patients undergoing open-heart surgery at the 18 hospitals that performed heart surgery in New Jersey. As stated in the report: "One important goal of the report is to provide New Jersey hospitals and surgeons with data they can use in assessing quality of care related to bypass surgery.
