Brookdale Long Cove Pointe, formerly Emeritus at Long Cove Pointe, is a Mason, Ohio Assisted Living and Alzheimer’s and Dementia care munity for seniors. Located in the beautiful suburban area of Mason, Ohio, our community is in a country-like setting yet close to urban comforts and conveniences.

A thriving community of 30,000 people, Mason is one of the fastest growing cities in Southwest Ohio. Dozens of wonderful restaurants, upscale shopping malls, movie theatres and just about any other type of retail business our families might want to visit are right here in the area. Conveniently located off two major interstates, I-71 and I-275, families and residents can also take full advantage of all the terrific attractions in the surrounding area. Spend a day with the grandkids at the famous Kings Island amusement park, visit Fort Ancient, North America’s largest prehistoric Native American site or catch a Cincinnati Reds baseball game in downtown Cincinnati.

The community offers a prime, drivable Midwestern location between Cincinnati and Dayton and we are only 30 minutes away from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky and Dayton airports.

Our Assisted Living Community

As a resident, you’ll enjoy a friendly environment where common living areas, an inviting dining room and a warm kitchen naturally draw people together. In your beautiful apartment, you will enjoy all the comforts of home. And with the addition of your personal furniture and cherished possessions, it’s sure to be an even brighter place.

Whether sharing delicious meals with friends and family, taking advantage of the many wonderful activities, or simply relaxing in the privacy of your apartment, our assisted living community is an exceptional choice for “all the places life can go.”

Our Alzheimer’s Care Community

Brookdale Long Cove Pointe features Clare Bridge Crossings, which provides care to seniors with early to mid Alzheimer’s and dementia, as well as Clare Bridge Place, which provides care to those in the mid to late stages of Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Our specialized care program is designed to provide residents with gentle structure each day, while also helping them to achieve daily moments of success. Through daily activities that challenge the mind, residents find new meaning and purpose in each day.

And if you’re still exploring senior living options, Brookdale Long Cove Pointe offers short term and vacation stays in our community through our respite stay program.

A Wonderful Place to Live

We are a sparkling new senior community that offers assisted living services as well as memory care. At Brookdale Long Cove Pointe, we offer a concierge who can handle all of our residents’ special requests plus a lobby café for coffee and snacks, a library and even happy hours.

We rely on our residents’ own interests and hobbies as we design our community’s activities and programs. Choices in social, cultural, educational, physical and creative activities are all strongly encouraged. Our transportation is offered numerous times every week to enjoy historical attractions and theatrical events in Cincinnati which is known as the Queen City.

Our residents will enjoy a wonderful lifestyle, all with the security of knowing care is available if they need it.

Strong, Caring, Professional Relationships

We nurture strong relationships with local area hospitals like Jewish Hospital and Bethesda North. The area also hosts several medical centers with a diverse offering of medical providers and specialties. Medical providers will routinely visit our residents including a geriatric physician, geriatric physician’s assistants, dentists, podiatrists, ophthalmologists and home health caregivers.

Located right on site in our community, we partner with a local rehabilitation provider which provides physical, occupational and speech therapy. We can also coordinate rehabilitation, skilled nursing care and hospice care as needed.

Our Staff

We hire the people you would hire. If you were going to hire one person to care for your family member, you would probably interview more than just a few. You would be looking for the person who will provide care, but also respect and friendship. We feel the same way. We seek to hire only those individuals who are passionate about senior care as their occupation.

As a new team in a new community, we are committed to delivering the highest standards of care and service to our residents and their families. All of our caregivers undergo extensive ongoing training. Their skills and knowledge encompass the aging process, accident prevention, communication techniques, infection control and how to manage disruptive behaviors. They also attend an intensive two-day training for our memory care program, Join Their Journey. All employees understand the changes and challenges that occur with age, and with memory loss.

A Wonderful, Active Lifestyle

As we age, we don’t lose our taste for good food, interesting experiences, family and laughter or our desire to live in a comfortable, attractive home. After all, these are the things that make us who we are and keep life vibrant and exciting. Brookdale Long Cove Pointe has its own Life Enrichment Director whose only job is to find new social, recreational and cultural activities for our residents. Life stories help our Life Enrichment Director understand each resident’s interests and hobbies as a basis for choosing activities. Our community is designed to be a home that is warm and inviting to both residents and their family and friends. We feel that if our residents can live well, they can better enjoy their lives.

Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community

Not only is “Our Family Committed to Yours,” we also believe “Our Community is Committed to Yours.” Local community projects give us and our residents a true sense of purpose and connection. We want to participate in meaningful community service projects and continue to discover ways to give back to others in our community.

For example, we offer a monthly educational series in which we invite memory care experts who address such topics of interest as the latest research in Alzheimer’s disease, (“Is it memory loss or just old age?”) among many other pertinent subjects. This is an outstanding opportunity for medical professionals, referral sources and family members who work or live with those dealing with memory loss to gain insight into what it’s like to have dementia or Alzheimer’s.

Fine Dining

Brookdale Long Cove Pointe has an experienced dining service director on staff who prepares three delicious homemade meals every day including multiple menu choices for every lunch and dinner.

Lunch and dinner meals offer a salad and soup to start, followed by a main entrée and dessert. Meals are served on fine china in a restaurant-style atmosphere so that residents can enjoy conversation with their company at their table while enjoying an exceptional culinary experience.

Our memory care neighborhood hosts its own dining room. Three meals and three snacks at 10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and again at bedtime are provided daily. This allows us to provide smaller portions throughout the day to combat weight loss problems which is a key issue for residents who, because of their memory loss, often feel fuller faster, get distracted more frequently and tend to walk and wander a lot. We also take special measures to make sure residents are able to easily distinguish their food on the plate by serving meals on colored dishes and water is served in a colored glass, while juice and milk are served in clear glasses, making it easier for them to identify beverages. Our menu can accommodate a wide variety of dietary choices and needs including soft and pureed.
