Brookdale Monmouth, formerly Emeritus at Heron Pointe, is a Monmouth, Oregon Assisted Living and Independent Living munity near Dallas, Oregon .  We offer both independent living retirement cottages and assisted living apartments all on one campus in Monmouth, Oregon’s wine country.

Brookdale Monmouth Cottages’ ten spacious retirement cottages are ideal for couples who wish to maintain their independence but want access to all of the amenities we offer our assisted living residents that include activities, transportation and three meals day which are included in their monthly rent.

Brookdale Monmouth assisted living community is located just across the street with 61 studio and one-bedroom apartments. A walking path encircles our campus and makes it easy for residents to scooter and stroll around our community. A new garden has created a lovely quiet park-like setting for residents to enjoy the out-of-doors. Our campus also has a pathway that leads directly to Bi-Mart that residents can easily walk to  and purchase their prescriptions and buy toiletries and other items.

For seniors looking for the tranquility of a rural setting with all the conveniences of a large town nearby, Brookdale Monmouth is an ideal option. Located just outside of Salem, Oregon off Pacific Highway, our community is close to two small towns, Dallas and Independence. The Corvallis/Albany area is also an easy 20-minute drive.

Salem offers just about every convenience you can imagine including all kinds of stores, restaurants, banks and parks. Salem is also home to the state fair which is a favorite day trip for residents. Western Oregon University is in Monmouth which offers a wide variety of live performances and is also close by. In fact, many college students volunteer at our community.

A Wonderful Selection

Each of our ten retirement cottages offers 600-square feet of spacious living. Each cottage has two bedrooms, one with French doors so residents can walk out onto their own private patios. All of the cottages have private patios, washer/dryers, an emergency call system and a regular kitchen. Many residents take full advantage of the three meals a day included in their rent by walking the short distance across the street to our dining room located in the two-story assisted living community.

We offer a total of 63 assisted living apartments, ranging from 375-square-foot studios up to 712-square-foot deluxe one-bedroom units. Each unit includes a nicely equipped kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator and sink as well as a handicapped-accessible bathroom with walk-in shower. Big windows create a bright and cheerful environment.

All residents have full access to several common areas including our Coca-Cola Room, billiards room, activities room, lovely lobby area, dining room and a small private dining room that residents can reserve for special occasions. The community also has a spa room and beauty salon. Newly remodeled in traditional décor, our community feels warm and comfortable just like home.

Strong, Caring, Professional Relationships

For the convenience of our residents, we can bring in a variety of health-care providers to provide services on site. These include physical, occupational and speech therapists, hospice providers, podiatrists and even a mobile dental clinic staffed by a local dentist.
