Johnstown Assisted Living Facilities
What is an assisted living facility (ALF)? Do not confuse an assisted living facility with places such as nursing homes. Assisted living facilities are much preferred by residents because they allow the individual to be much more independent. The residents are able to have the privacy they want, and only received help when they need it. A lot of common daily activities that often require help include washing themselves, grooming, and getting dressed in the mornings.
Assisted living facilities differ in the layout of the actual facility. Some facilities are grouped together and consisted of a retirement community called a CCRC, which means a continuing care retirement community. These residents like being in communities because it gives them a chance to interact with other elderly folk and generally have a very “at-home” feel to them.
