Residents at Helen Greathouse Manor Assisted Living will enjoy this area of the web site because it offers lots of information about planned activities. The Activity Calendar (below, left) is printable, or residents can just glance at it and go have fun! Be sure to note the location of the activities because they could be in a particular area of Helen Greathouse Manor or residents may hop on a bus and go shopping or out to eat.

Don’t miss out on activities at the Wellness Center, the Barney Greathouse Activity Building or the Margaret Cowden Clubhouse. Manor Park is blessed with a large campus and it is put to good use. Check back often because events or locations change and this site will be updated often.

Residents and their families may want to attend some of the activities together. Some activities are designed as educational tools and may be of interest to friends or family members. For example, Wellness Wednesdays are planned by the Wellness Center to feature special guests presenting popular topics and answering questions.

Menus for the Assisted Living dining room are available (left) and several weeks are published in advance. Menus from the Wildcatter’s Grill inside the Margaret Cowden Clubhouse are included here as well. Click on the Campus Menu and/or the Grill Menu to check out the dining choices. For your convenience, menus may be printed out.

Helen Greathouse Manor Assisted Living offers assistance in activities of daily living in 86 private, one-bedroom apartments. Three daily meals are provided to residents as well as other basic services, such as daily housekeeping, weekly linen service and personal laundry service. Nurses are on site 24 hours a day and residents are checked at frequent intervals. Residents do not require continuous nursing care and an emergency call system is provided for every room and every resident.

Assisted living allows residents to live as independently as possible even though they may need help with personal care. Activities are designed for residents who may be physically challenged. Helen Greathouse Manor is licensed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services. Services available through private funding only.
