Set on three acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard, Brookdale Willows Sherman, formerly The Willows at Sherman, is a Sherman Texas Assisted Living and Alzheimer’s caremunity for seniors. Located near Highway 75 and 82, our community offers 54 apartments all on one level for easy access. We are 75 miles north of Dallas Metroplex, and two miles from local shopping. We are within five miles of both local hospitals and many physicians’ offices. Lake Texoma is 15 miles north of the Brookdale Willows Sherman where camping and water sports are available. Our residents and in many cases, their pets, enjoy retirement living as well as assistance.
A Wonderful Selection
Brookdale Willows Sherman is considered one of the premier assisted living in the Sherman area. Here our residents enjoy retirement living within a comforting, homelike environment. Our common areas include our lovely dining room, library and TV room. We also offer a wide range of activities each month including continuing education classes, exercise classes, off site excursions, parties, hobbies and cultural events. Brookdale Willows Sherman has several different apartment plans. Each apartment has a kitchenette equipped with a full-sized refrigerator. Each bathroom has emergency pull cord and railings in the shower and by the toilet for easy assistance when sitting or standing. Each apartment has its own heating and cooling system in order for the resident to control the temperature.
Our common areas including our lovely dining room, library and TV room give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities each month including exercise classes and community outings.
Strong, Caring Professionals
On occasion, The Willows partners with other organizations when conducting events. We work with Durable Medical Equipment, Long Term Care, Skilled Nursing and Physical Therapists in order to better serve our residents’ needs. We offer a full time Registered Nurse to coordinate the needs of our residents with outside agencies.
A Wonderful, Active Lifestyle
Our community offers various types of activities for our residents. We have music programs, bingo and other assorted games, yoga, exercise programs, outings such as picnics, fishing, casino trips, games to stimulate your brain, and during the holidays, we always have numerous groups that come in to perform as well as spiritual groups. There’s lots of fun at The Willows.
Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community
Brookdale Willows Sherman is active in the community with the Alzheimer’s walk, Breast Cancer Awareness events, Heart Smart events and many others. We also have in-house events such as Health Fair, Blood Pressure/Sugar testing and Podiatrist visits. We also host a monthly Networking Meetings where all sorts of professionals come to network together.
Fine Dining
Our dining is set up restaurant style. This means our residents do not have to get out of their seats to refill drinks or carry plates. We serve a menu designed by a dietitian that accommodates most types of diets. We have family dinners during the holidays that makes it feel just like home. Our Dining Services Director is available daily to talk with residents about their choices and also conducts The Resident Council and Food Council meetings where residents can voice likes and dislikes so we can serve food of their choosing.
