Mayfair House at Claypool Hill is a modern, upscale assisted living facility with a total of 30,000 sq. ft. of climate-controlled space. Mayfair House houses up to 60 residents and offers several options in private and semi-private rooms.

Designed by The Yates Group, AIA, in Portsmouth, Va., Mayfair House at Claypool Hill is among the most advanced and environmentally friendly assisted living facilities in America. In partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council, Mayfair House at Claypool Hill boasts a green design. One of the first of its kind in the nation, Mayfair House at Claypool Hill’s building plan is environmentally responsible, and provides a healthy place to live and work. The facility is built with scenic vistas of the Appalachian Mountains.

In addition to the residential rooms, Mayfair House at Claypool Hill offers many resident-friendly mon areas including a greenhouse, three separate family/living rooms, an activities room, a smaller dining room for private family functions or parties, and a sunroom where residents and friends can gather for activities and socializing. That’s why our residents and their families are so comfortable with the care we provide. Here you’ll find a beautiful, clean environment where your loved one will feel at home.

STAFF

RESIDENT ROOMS

    * Mayfair House rooms offer traditional home furnishings but residents are encouraged to bring personal items such as a favorite chair and framed family photos with them. Rooms also include special features such as:
          o Fire-resistant construction with state-of-the-art automatic sprinkler, smoke and fire detection and alarm systems
          o 24-hour emergency call system
          o Handicap-equipped bathrooms
          o Ample closet space
          o Video monitoring in common areas

NUTRITIONAL PROGRAM

    * Residents enjoy three nutritious meals daily and a snack. We can also provide most doctor-ordered special diets.

FEE STRUCTURE

    * Mayfair House rents on a daily basis with no up-front entry fee requirements, ensuring your assets are available for investment or other options. Our fee structure is simple, based on a level of care your family member needs. A security deposit is all that is required to reserve the accommodation of your choice. Short-term “respite” care stays and hospice care are also available.
