North Carolina Assisted Living Facility Over Sight

North Carolina assisted living facilities are inspected by Department of Social Services for each county. Full assessments are done annually and facilities are monitored on a quarterly basis. To check the status of an assisted living facility including copies of inspection report and to check complaints, call the adult care Licensure Section of the Department of Social Services at 919-855-3765. The selection of assisted living facilities in North Carolina is much greater in the more metropolitan areas. Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Greenville, and Ashville all have a much greater selection of assisted living facilities and the more remote areas of Wilmington, Fayetteville, Goldsboro, Boone, Asheville, Hickory and Forest City.
