Themunity, with its 40 cottage-style apartments, was built in 1969 and has been beautifully maintained ever since. Residents enjoy spending time in the community’s ample gardens, whether they have a green thumb or just want to socialize with their friends and neighbors.
Pleasanton Gardens has an interesting story, one that residents say lends to the community’s unique spirit. Forty-two years ago, it was the first HUD-affiliated senior community to be located outside of a big city in California. More recently, the community was the last self-managed, small community in the state. ABHOW assumed management of Pleasanton Gardens in 2011.
