Brookdale Carrollwood is a member of the home-owners association which provides us with extra security through Wackenhut services. The location of ourmunity is well-suited to our seniors. We are in a beautiful, peaceful residential neighborhood yet we are only a mile west of Dale Mabry Highway, which makes us convenient to shopping, medical offices, banking and restaurants.
A Wonderful Selection
Our retirement community was recently remodeled. The majestic gold and blue color scheme is elegant, yet charming and comfortable. Our community is on one level, and we offer four different room sizes. All are spacious, bright and have beautiful views. Some rooms are equipped with a kitchenette consisting of a small refrigerator, sink and storage space.
Brookdale Carrollwood is a one level community located in the heart of beautiful, residential Carrollwood Village. We have 95 attractive and bright senior apartments with scenic views. We have a pretty garden area with gazebo. Residents who want to exercise their green thumb are encouraged to work their magic with the flowers and other plants in this area. The ice cream parlor and gift shop are frequently the center of attention. We feature complimentary root beer floats, ice cream cones and “Sundaes on Sunday”.
Our Staff
The staff and management team at Brookdale Carrollwood has impressive longevity. Many have been employed at this community for many years. All new staff undergo level 2 background screenings which include fingerprinting, and local, state and federal background checks. Extensive orientation is provided to all newly hired employees and ongoing continuing education is required of all staff on a regular basis. A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
Brookdale Carrollwood senior living community is bustling with activities seven days a week. Days are filled with getting fit classes, pet visits, brain health workouts and fabulous ice cream socials; just to name a few of our activities. Outings to shopping centers and local restaurants are also very popular. We offer fabulous activities. Some of the favorite resident activities are trivia, pet visits, bingo, youth group visits, current events, ice cream socials and the butter bean auction. We have our life enrichment director in the community seven days a week.
Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community
Brookdale Carrollwood frequently hosts educational programs which are open and free to the public. In addition, we host events for area healthcare professionals. We are active in the Alzheimer’s Association and frequently host fundraisers for this organization. We are also a supporter of the University of South Florida Alzheimer’s and Gerontology Center.
Fine Dining
Our dining service program is stellar for many reasons. We use fresh herbs, prepare sauces with wine, marinate meat to assure tenderness, slice our own pork and beef, prepare all soups from scratch, and we make flavored butters. All of our chefs are experienced and take great pride in the entrees they prepare.
