Shame on them!!
When my family and I were searching for an assisted living facility for my 92 year old Mom, we were impressed with the warmth and support that The Arbors offered us. We brought Mom to NY from Florida. She was evaluated and accepted into the facility. We paid The Arbors $13,000.Eleven days later the Arbors sent her to the hospital where she was treated for congestive heart failure. She was hospitalized for over two weeks. Nobody from The Arbors called to inquire as to the status of her health. Upon her release, she was sent to a rehab center where she recovered nicely. The same person who initially evaluated her came to the rehab. center to reevaluate her. This person is a former teacher---not a certified health professional. He rejected my mother and she was denied readmission to The Arbors. The Arbors kept the $13,000 and is legally entitled to do so. Our family had to find another facility for my Mom....We had trusted The Arbors. Their callous misrepresentation as a warm, caring "home" has been, to say the least, disappointing----and financially a shameful scam. DO NOT MOVE YOUR BELOVED RELATIVE INTO THIS FACILITY.
