Emeritus at Colonie Manor is characterized by our home-like feeling and warm staff. Each studio allows for privacy, while our largemon areas are inviting and plentiful. Our residents know that they are safe, secure and treated with respect, care and compassion at Emeritus at Colonie Manor. No stairs or elevators here! Emeritus at Colonie Manor is a single story building situated on 7+ acres that feature wildlife such as turkeys, deer, rabbits, and multiple bird species. We have 94 private studio senior apartments, each with a private bath, individualized climate control and large windows.
Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
It is important to establish and maintain strong professional relationships through out the community. We work closely with local certified home health agencies such as the Albany VNA, Seton Home Health and St. Peter’s Home Care. We are in close proximity to several area hospitals, such as Albany Memorial, Ellis Hospital, St. Mary’s in Troy and St. Peter’s. We are also home to a number of United States veterans and work extremely closely with the Veterans Administration. When the need for rehab arises, we work closely with Our Lady Of Mercy, The Daughter’s of Sarah and St. Peter’s Rehab.

Emeritus at Colonie Manor is focused on providing the highest quality activities and social programs for our residents. To that end, we spend time with each resident individually to learn about interests, hobbies and new learning opportunities. Emeritus at Colonie Manor features a wide variety of programs designed to keep our residents healthy and engaged. From Wii tournaments to karaoke contests, there is something for everyone! Birthday celebrations, social hours and live entertainment are featured monthly, in addition to a variety of stimulating daily activities.
Partnering with the Local Community
We enjoy a close relationship with the Colonie Senior Service Centers, Inc. and have sponsored a variety of events for local seniors and their families. Colonie Manor has been an active participant in the local community since our opening in 1989. We have sponsored a variety of events with the Colonie Senior Service Centers, Inc., such as the Annual Bright Horizons Picnic. We also sponsor portions of the bingo program at The Watervliet Senior Citizens Center. We also strive to be a resource on aging and topics related to aging for the community at large We have sponsored educational workshops and learning opportunities on topics ranging from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia to brain health and diabetes.
Fine Dining
Three homemade meals are served restaurant-style each day. Each meal is prepared using menus developed by The Crandall Corporation. Special treats are also scheduled, such as pizza parties, make-your-own-sundaes, cookouts and more!
