Regretful Experience
The administrative staff and RN's are seldom on the floor, CNA's are self-managed and often lack initiative. Dental care is non-existent. A CNA who supposedly had 25 years experience told me she did not know how to remove dentures. Falls are a problem at this facility, I did not see that stated on the report. Unless you can check on your family member several times a week, this is not a good facility. During my mother's final illness her pain medication was missed for three dosages. Also the staff does not work well with Hospice care, appears to resent it. This facility has a problem with roaches. Often paper towels and toilet paper run out and it takes a long time to get supplies. I started buying supplies for my mother. The recreational activities are unsatisfactory -- there is a lot of boredom and people sitting alone in wheelchairs. Also employees are not drug tested and there have been issues with abuse.
