Brookdale Statesman Club, formerly The Statesman, is an Oklahoma City Retirementmunity that provides Independent Living options for seniors. Our community is 10-15 minutes away from six major hospitals and hundreds of physicians. We are five minutes from Lake Hefner Parkway which is the best route to these hospitals and physicians’ offices.
There’s a beautiful view of Lake Hefner and the marina the moment you merge onto to LHP going either northbound or southbound. Lake Hefner offers walking and biking trails, picnic areas, boating and Stars & Stripes Park. Lakeside restaurants are abundant and include Lakeside Fish Grill, Red Rock and Mama Rojas which are some of the most popular places to dine and enjoy fabulous sunsets off the lake. Quail Creek, North Park and Penn Square malls are less than ten miles away. Of course, there’s Wal-Mart, 7-11 convenience stores, a pharmacy, several major banks, a post office and several community churches ten minutes away. The Bricktown area is packed with attractions like bowling, movies, shopping, fine dining, Redhawks baseball, sports grills, event centers, riverboat canal rides and cruises on the Oklahoma River. Brookdale Statesman Club offers an incredibly serene and upscale living environment for seniors accustomed to a specific way of living. The overall atmosphere gives residents the beauty of a small lake with fountain, ducks and geese and a variety of birds that have also made Brookdale Statesman Club their home. Our apartments are typically larger than many independent living communities in our area. We are known for our incredible cuisine choices, live entertainment and a “country club-style” living and dining environment. Our enclosed pool, library, salon, fitness club, our new dog park, private dining room, activities and transportation to and from doctor’s appointments allow our residents all the comforts of home and community under one roof.

Whether it’s foodservice, housekeeping or maintenance, each member of all departments knows our residents. Not only does the entire staff recognize residents by sight, they can also tell you about their lives, their children, grandchildren and what activities they enjoy here at Brookdale Statesman Club.
A Wonderful, Active Lifestyle
Brookdale Statesman Club is fortunate to have an outstanding Life Enrichment Director. Our entire staff observes residents’ birthdays by singing to them during lunch on their special day, spotlighting their names and birthdays in our monthly newsletter and posting the birthdays on activity reminder boards in every elevator. We host a special “lunch bunch” trip each month by taking residents to eat at a special place like Eischen’s in Okarche. Church services are offered every Sunday by a variety of churches on a rotating basis. There are numerous opportunities for residents to socialize such as arts & crafts, “Sit & Fit” weekly exercise program, bible study, line dancing class, regularly scheduled game and poker nights, “Write Your Own Story”, watercolor classes, weekly trips to Wal-Mart or the mall, happy hour on Fridays and our special event each month called “Night at the Statesman”.
Partnering With the Local Neighborhood Community
We partner with Alzheimer’s Association and participate in the annual Walk for a Cure and hosting monthly fundraising events at our community.
Fine Dining
We feature “country club-style” dining with up to seven entrée choices for lunch and dinner. Our residents have the option of reserving the private dining room for meals with family and/or friends. They may reserve this room for cards or games with friends as well. Our expansive salad bar features fresh fruit, a variety of salads (broccoli salad, potato salad and fruit salad) and a generous selection of dressings which are both fat free and regular. The “made fresh daily” soups and homemade rolls are a delightful feature in the elegant dining room. Our chef can be seen stopping by to visit residents during dinner service on a regular basis. They truly enjoy chatting with him and letting him know how much they enjoy their meals. Additionally, it gives them a warm feeling to know he really cares about the quality and variety of entrees he prepares for them. Residents and guests continually remark favorably about the high level of personal, friendly and prompt service and the variety of entrée choices.
