Details About Emeritus at Arlington

Emeritus at Arlington offers all of the amenities that one would expect in a premier assisted living within an urban setting. Located on Wilson Blvd., in the heart of Arlington, VA, we are close to casual and fine dining establishments, shopping and cultural centers. Access to the munity is easy from the Route 66, 395 or the George Washington Parkway. Our “Seniors in the City” Program promotes exploration into all that Washington DC has to offer.

A Wonderful Selection

Our community features several senior apartment layouts to meet the discerning tastes of our customers. From studio living to larger one-bedroom apartments featuring private dens/studies, Emeritus at Arlington is proud to offer these beautifully appointed units. For those customers with loved ones with memory loss, we offer many of the same apartment choices within our Memory Care setting.

Strong, Professional and Caring Relationships

Emeritus at Arlington has teamed up with the National Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association and hosts bi-monthly support groups on the first and third Thursday of each month beginning at 6:30 PM. We work closely with several community based healthcare companies including Capital, Odysseys and Heartland Hospices.

Our Staff

It begins with the first time you step into our beautiful community, the warm smiles welcome you. Our hospitality can be seen in every action we have with our customers. From placing a call for a cab, warming someone’s coffee or holding the elevator door. Our compassionate and competent teams of professionals work hard to make meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.

A Wonderful, Active Lifestyle

Our daily and monthly calendar of events is full of exciting programs that strive to enrich and engage the lives of our residents and their families. We offer a wide variety of activities that encourage the strengthening of their physical and mental functions. Our Hobby Shop is open to those who like to explore their creative side through different art mediums. We have community guests that come in to facilitate educational and spiritual groups and discussions. Our “Green Thumb Gang” keep all of our indoor plants well groomed and, during the mild weather, attend to our outdoor gardens. The “Give Back Group” takes on community projects by volunteering their time and talent to local agencies. In the immortal words of Art Linkletter, we too believe that “Old Age is for Sissies” and that maintaining an active and fulfilling lifestyle can have a positive effect on one’s golden years.

Partnering With The Local Neighborhood Community

Our staff and residents continually partner with our local community. We work with local schools, churches and civic organizations to promote various drives and causes. From our strong presence at the area Alzheimer’s Association Chapter’s “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” to hosting intergenerational programs with children, to collecting items and stuffing stocking for the “Stockings for Seniors” project, we have our pulse on what is going on in our community. We are proud to be able to give back to those who may be less fortunate than ourselves.

Fine Dining

Our Dining Service Team works tirelessly to provide the service and quality one may find at a local dining establishment. Meals are served in courses by our Wait Staff. Our Dietitian Developed Menus include a choice of two entrees along with a list of standard alternates that meet the culinary and nutritional needs of our discerning customers. Each month a special “Candlelight Dinner” is served where residents may invite guests to join them at dinner. In addition, we have weekly “Resident Featured” dishes where our chefs recreate dishes from recipes supplied by our residents. Many residents take an active role in this by donning an apron and actually helping out in the preparation.
