A Wonderful Selection
With its warm, family-friendly atmosphere, Brookdale Hearthstone Moses Lake like home the moment you walk through the doors. Our community’s atmosphere of care and comfort comes from our experienced and friendly staff.
We have an abundance of open spaces and common areas in which residents, loved ones, and their visitors can gather. From the ice cream parlor (open week-day afternoons), the sage room (ready for bingo, pinochle, puzzles, and family groups), a library/living room (Wii bowling or computer games anyone?), an activities room (crafts, baking, special groups, etc.), and two large, separate dining areas; there is plenty of room to explore and enjoy each day. We also have a quiet chapel available upstairs which offers groups a great place for meeting and worship.
Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
Our commitment to our residents involves building and maintaining meaningful relationships with our local hospital, skilled nursing facilities and rehab centers, senior centers, and elder care associations. We regularly visit key professionals in their facilities and invite them, in turn, to tour and visit our community on a regular basis. Keeping our communication and relationships current and open enables our staff to give the most complete assistance to our residents.
Our Staff
Many of our residents feel our team members are truly like extended family and with several of our staff working at our community for many years each, we have some great experiences to share! Every team member is expected and encouraged to stay educated in their field of expertise. All staff are up-to-date on fundamentals of care, dementia and mental health issues and take pride in the certificates of completion awarded.
When potential residents and their families visit, we often hear that they are impressed by the level of caring (and all the smiles!) they observe when walking through our community. Each person working in our community is trained to treat everyone with respect, honor and personal dignity, and we seek only those with a passion to serve seniors.
A Wonderfully Active Lifestyle
Our residents are active on a daily basis, beginning with a 30-minute (or longer) exercise class each morning (Monday thru Friday). We love to challenge each resident to try something new on a regular basis, whether it be an “Animal Run” game, compete in one of our “Hearthstone Heat” basketball tournaments, or become an expert at Wii bowling! Just take a stroll down one of our hallways to discover all the great decorations our residents share with us.
Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community
Families and residents love to contribute to local charities through volunteer programs, providing space for concerts, meetings, and health information forums. We have regular group projects to share with the local senior center, provide decorations for a local community bazaar or fundraiser, or help support local school performances. Several of our residents volunteer at the hospital, senior center, or local churches.
Fine Dining
Many of our residents look forward to our relaxing meals served restaurant style. Our Dining Services Director/cook is an experienced chef and serves some of the best-tasting meals in the area. Family members enjoy joining their loved ones for meals on a regular basis and we love to serve them. Many of our staff choose to eat their meals here as well.
Residents are free to order from the daily menu, or from an “a la carte” menu for each meal. Not only do we do “down-home” cooking, but we have some scrumptious desserts and salads, too! Be sure to check out our Thanksgiving Family Feast – a special event.
