Senior Care By "Vi Living by Hyatt"
The same company that manages the chain of Hotels also manages a handful of senior living facilities. Some facility are marketed as Residences and some as Vi Living. After reviewing the facilities, it looks like the Vi Living facilities are all CCRCs. They offer independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and Alzheimer's care. The Residences are only independent living and assisted living. Many of the facilities advertise a monthly rate and some advertise a buy-in cost. The cost to move into some of the grand Vi residences can be up to a quarter million dollars. In most cases, this is non-refundable but if you buy into a CCRC when you are young, it can be well worth the investment. The Vi facilities resemble resorts more than they resemble senior care facilities. Expected to be treated like a king or queen if you move into a Vi facility.
